Easy Steps to Becoming A
WCAR Member
Congratulations on receiving your
real estate license from the State of Michigan! Your new Broker
has 15 days to notify WCAR of your affiliation with your new company.

To join WCAR fill out the
New
Member Application
and submit with a non-refundable
application fee of $75 and the
prorated annual dues (note: your
$75 is already included on this chart).

A Membership Committee Member will
contact you for an informal interview. At their next regular
meeting, the WCAR Board of Directors will approve your provisional
membership subject to mandatory membership requirements.

You will be granted provisional
membership immediately upon remittance of dues and assigned a National
REALTORS® Database System
(NRDS)
number.

To comply with membership
requirements, you must complete your new member National Association of
REALTORS® Code of Ethics training online. After passing this
requirement, you will be granted Multiple Listing Service (MLS) access.

Please submit a
End User Authorization Form,
signed by you and your Broker,
as needed to access SWMRIC, your multiple
listing service.

New members shall complete an MLS
orientation program devoted to the MLS rules and regulations with training related to MLS information entry and retrieval and the
operation of the MLS within thirty (30) days after access has been
provided. (Adopted 05/06)

New members must attend mandatory
WCAR Orientation within 180 days of application. Full induction at
Orientation will be conducted in compliance with provisional membership
requirements.

ORIENTATION SCHEDULE
NEW MLS APPLICATION
Broker pays one time fee of $250.00 and $30 per month for
themselves and each licensed member in their office for use of the MLS.
AFFILIATE
MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
Affiliate Members pay one time
application fee of $150 along with pro-rated local and state dues. They
are charged $30 per month if they subscribe to the MLS services.
