Property is the fruit of labor; property is desirable; it is a positive good in the world.  That some should be rich shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise.  Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another, but let him work diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built.       Abraham Lincoln

Ethics & Professional Standards Training Class

Effective Jan. 1, 2001, and for successive four (4) year periods thereafter, all REALTORS® are obligated to take an ETHICS AND PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS TRAINING CLASS to be in compliance with the National Association of REALTORS® mandatory membership requirement. This is easily done. Grab a cup of coffee, fire up the PC, get on the internet, sit back, relax, and take the class on-line. GO TO: www.realtor.org. Scroll down and you’ll notice in the lower left corner "Online REALTOR® Ethics Training". Click on that. Please note that you have two choices:

  • All new REALTORS® (membership for less than one year), click on the "New Member Code of Ethics Training."
  • All existing REALTORS®, click on "Quadrennial REALTOR® Ethics Training."

You’ll need to know your NRDS number to register. This is the nine digit number on your NAR membership card. It’s that simple! Don’t wait! Do it today! A question? Call the association office @ 231-796-3640 or email a question.
